Swingers almost blow win against depleted oppo

As the title suggests, Swingers got the chance to stick it to Cap Gemini and then proceeded to try and blow the chance of even a win. Cap Gemini where playing without two players. So two automatic outs at the end of the batting line up.

1st Inning;

Prox get 3 easy outs, Fordy sharp out at 1st, but misses the next one. The Marcus snaps up a catch out in the deep, then Danny Boy fires the ball in from short stop for the final out. CG 0

Proximity only got 1 run thanks to Danny’s homer, Fordy limps out at 1.

2nd Innings;

Marcus is having a great day, another catch and then those automatic outs. CG get 1 home.

The skipper is out in a suicide run to first, ignoring all the calls. Coach crunches one and brings home Delaney and Marcus, who bravely slides through the pitcher to get home. 1-3

3rd Innings;

Skip look away as the 8 men opposition score 5 before Prox saved by the auto outs.

Prox no score as double play from the Cap short stop kills the inning. 6-3

4th Inning;

Danny superb stop at short stop gets the first out, then shocked silence a strike out from Fordy. Danny does it again for the third.

Becs and Delaney bring home Fordy for 1. 6-4

Becs gives the team both barrels, something about two outs blah blah blah. It got too Aussie to understand.

5th Innings;

Kieran picks up a catch, Fordy tags the runner at home and another out at 1st. However CG still get 3.

Again the top of the Prox order fails and we get nothing. 9-4 more Aussie ranting. Everyone steps away.

6th Inning;

Marcus grabs another catch amongst the auto outs. CG 0

Simmo and Fordy get base hits, Feds gets Simmo home. Marcus hits a fast run homer to level the scores. Skip still aint happy.

7th Inning;

Fordy pitches straight and true and gets another strike out!! CG get nothing.

Two quick outs and the nerves are gangling and skip is about to rip someone’s liver out. Then Danny and Wazza get to bases. Simmo loads the bases. Then up steps Fordy and hits the winning runs.

We go wild, Skip is up in Cap Gemini’s faces and we go home (to the pub) happy.
