1st

Orphans smack some runs and it’s clear they have some big hitters. Krusty makes a good stop at 2nd to restrict the runners and set up the quick outs to end the inning.

Let’s not talk about the Swingers effort.

4-0

2nd

Krusty does it again in the field, which gets Kitch off the hook after missing an easy field in the deep. Goosta with the outs. Big hits from them though, yields 6.

Proximity get going with some decent hits, although forced runners out at base restrict the run count.

10-3

3rd

A easy catch for Simmo at 3rd and ridiculous tag from Goosta’s fake throws at short stop, (very unsporting from the SAFA), stop Orphans for zip.

Home runs from Goosta and Erskine (seriously out of the park), gets us into the lead, 8 runs.

10-11

4th

The diving Goosta catch, a nice double from Whatters accurate pitching and we restrict them to 2.

Simmo second up bashes a homer, Goosta and Feds follow up with their own, 6 runs.

'Who's ya Daddy. Told ya Bec's.'

12-17

5th

More good fielding, ignoring Erskine’s over throw to home, we restrict them to 1. Delaney with a nice catch at 3rd .

3 straight outs, Feds seethes.

13-17

6th

More precise fielding, Krusty and Kazzaroonie with stops, and they can only manage 1.

3 straight outs, time for a team talk/bollocking, cheers Feds.

14-17

7th

Keep it tight and we win, Whatters gets it right, getting their biggest hitter to pop one up straight back to him. Fish with a good stop in the deep. They can only manage 1 and swingers win.

Goosta with a hat trick of homers and the swingers go out in style, 8 runs, including runs for our guest stars Coach and Lou.

Orphans 15 – Proximity Swingers 25

Man of the Match; The ringers can’t get it (sorry Goosta) and I would hate to give it to the skipper, so it goes to the Simmo’s 3 runs including a homer.
